Baking Day.

No matter what your holiday plans are, having homemade cookies, tarts, or squares to bring (or eat!) is a great idea. Make a day of it with a friend and get adventurous! Whether you’re sticking with some tried-and-true recipes or testing out something completely new, baking is a sure way to blow off some steam. You’ll both enjoy a fun day of baking and decorating and be rewarded with sweet treats. Talk about having your cake and eating it too!

Hit the local Christmas Market.

This is an awesome way to either spend a day with your loved one checking out local artisanal goods or to pick up a special self-care gift. Top market hits are homemade jams, candles, and hand-knit outerwear: all wonderful gifts for self-care! Customized Care Package: A simple care package can go a long way, and you can customize this to fit any budget. This is where Christmas markets can come in very handy! For some other self-care kit ideas, visit our DIY self-care kit page! My personal care package staples also include tea/hot chocolate and a journal.

Holiday movie marathon.

There’s nothing better than cozying up with friends, popcorn, and classic holiday movies. Ask your loved ones what their favourite snacks and movies are and spend a day relaxing and hanging out. Spending quality time with others is an excellent stress reliever!

These are just a few ideas to get you started for some fun ways to practice self-care and show some care to those around you during the holidays. A little bit of kindness can go a long way! Happy holidays!
